Preparing for your Community Musical Theatre Audition

Has “fear” stopped you from auditioning for your first Community Musical Theatre show?
Have you auditioned once or twice before but need help on how to better prepare?
Have you always enjoyed being in the chorus but want to start auditioning for principal roles?

This course is perfect if you have answered Yes to any of the above questions.

Over the 4 weeks (once a week) you will learn How to:

  • Manage audition fears
  • Understand audition briefs
  • Prepare a song
  • Prepare a monologue
  • Find sheet music, backing tracks and monologues

You will also experience a simulated audition to help build your skills and confidence.

1/20 Main Street Beenleigh (Behind PD Computers. Across from Coles)

Dates:
Day 1 – Monday 15th of October 2018
Day 2 – Monday 22nd of October 2018
Day 3 – Monday 29th of October 2018
Day 4 – Monday 5th of November 2018

Time: 6:30pm -8:30pm

Fee: $100

Entry Requirements: 18 years of age and above

About the trainer

An experienced community theatre performer, Mike has performed in such roles as Engineer (Miss Saigon), Anatoly Sergievsky and Arbiter(Chess), Sky Masterson(Guys and Dolls), Joseph(Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Lun Tha(King and I)and currently rehearsing for Beenleigh Theatre Groups 40th Anniversary Show, Oklahoma as Ali Hakim. Mike is currently the choir leader of “A-Chord”, BTG’s open mixed community choir. Mike has written and performed in two Short and Sweet Cabarets being a finalist in Sydney 2014 with his show, “Coming to Australia”
